Vegan Creamy Mushroom Burger

Vegan Creamy Mushroom Burger is a tasty and easy burger created with simple plant-based ingredients. It is a healthy and filling meal. INGREDIENTS:

FOR THE MARINADE:

  • Portobello Mushrooms 2 large
  • Medium-sized grated onion, 1
  • Chopped garlic cloves, 3
  • Half a teaspoon of salt, or to flavor
  • Chopped Black pepper, half a teaspoon (1/2 tsp)
  • One tablespoon of Sesame oil
  • Miso 1 tbsp
  • Sriracha 1 tbsp
  • Dried Oregano 1 tsp. Fresh oregano also works.
  • Half a teaspoon of cumin

FOR BREADCRUMB COATING

  • Bread crumbs 1/4 cup
  • Black pepper 1/4 tsp
  • Smoked paprika 1/2 tsp
  • Half a teaspoon of garlic
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Nutritional yeast 2 tsp, it is an additional item

VEGAN MOZZARELLA CREAM

  • Half a cup of Raw cashews
  • Water 1 cup
  • Olive Oil 2 tsp
  • Garlic clove 1, chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt
  • One teaspoon of Fresh lemon juice
  • Half a tablespoon of Miso
  • Onion powder 1 tsp
  • One teaspoon of flour. Depending on your diet, you can add flour.

ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Burger Buns
  • Fresh herbs
  • Sliced Tomatoes
  • Fresh spinach leaves

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Make tasty vegan burgers with the following steps.
  2. First, adjust the oven temperature to 400-450 degrees.
  3. Take a mixing bowl. Add miso, sriracha, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to this bowl.
  4. Combine all ingredients by using a spoon.
  5. Coat this paste over the Portobello mushrooms.
  6. Set aside the marinated mushrooms for 15 to 25 minutes.
  7. Now, place these marinated mushrooms in a greased baking dish.
  8. For 15- 20 minutes, bake the mushrooms.

PREPARATION OF VEGAN MOZZARELLA CREAM SAUCE

  1. Meanwhile, we will prepare the sauce.
  2. Add all ingredients such as raw cashews, water, olive oil, chopped garlic, fresh lemon juice, salt, onion powder, miso, and flour to a blender.
  3. Blend all ingredients until a creamy texture forms.
  4. Next, add this mixture into a pan and cook it over slow flame for 10 minutes.
  5. Add less or more salt and other seasonings as per demand.
  6. The creamy sauce is ready. Save in a closed container and refrigerate it.

PREPARATION OF BREADCRUMB COATING

  1. Add salt, chopped garlic, black pepper, breadcrumbs, smoked paprika, and nutritional yeast to a bowl.
  2. Mix all items with a spoon or a fork.
  3. Set aside this breadcrumb mixture.

MUSHROOM FILLING

  1. Now, take out the baked mushrooms from the oven.
  2. Coat baked mushrooms with marinated paste so breadsticks stick easily.
  3. Now, fill mushrooms with garlic mozzarella cream, and cover it with caps.
  4. Bake it again for 7-8 minutes at 425 degrees.

ASSEMBLING

  1. Grill burger buns on the grill. Now add different layers to make a burger.
  2. Add the first layer of lettuce, the second layer of sliced tomatoes, the third layer of baked mushrooms, and the fourth layer spread creamy cashew sauce.
  3. Top burgers with red chili pepper flakes, dried herbs, or fresh basil.

  • To make it nut-free, make pumpkin seed alfredo or cauliflower alfredo.
  • You can substitute the wheat flour and bread crumbs with gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs.
  • Always use fresh mushrooms. Because old mushrooms will be soggy and give no taste.
  • Place the marinated mushrooms in a baking tray in line.
  • Use whole wheat buns. The top (cap) of a Portobello mushroom can also be used as a bun.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

Refrigerate:

Store the leftover burgers in a closed vessel or aluminum sheet and refrigerate it for 6 to 8 days.

Freezer:

Pack the mushroom burgers in a plastic wrapper and freeze for 2-3 days. We can’t freeze them for a long period otherwise the texture will change.
Microwave Oven: You can reheat the stored burgers in a microwave oven, or grill pan.
