Vegan Dumplings

Vegan Dumplings

Ingredients:

  • Black pepper: 1 tsp.
  • Plain flour: 100 g.
  • Dried thyme: 1/2 tsp.
  • Chopped fresh parsley: 1 tbsp.
  • Baking powder: 1 tsp.

Instructions:

  1. Fill a basin with the weighed flour and then mix baking powder.
  2. Mix the suet well.
  3. After generously seasoning it with pepper and then put it perfectly.
  4. Then rimmersedoll each of the six halves of dough into a spherical ball.
  5. After placing the dumplings in your stew or casserole, push them down so that they are partially immersed in the liquid.
  6. Once properly risen and fluffy, cook in the oven or on the stovetop for 25 to 30 minutes with a cover on.
  7. Place the casserole dish under a hot grill for one or two minutes if you would like the tops of your dumplings to get a bit browned.
  8. Serve right away.

Notes:

Gradually add water until just enough is added to bring the dough together.
As the dumplings simmer, they absorb a significant amount of moisture from your stew; thus, periodically check the stew’s consistency to make sure it’s not drying out.
You may put your dumplings for a minute or so under a hot grill to get a lovely, crispy golden finish.

A fairly simple method of defrosting it is to give it a brief blast in the microwave throughout. However, keep in mind that the stew and dumplings require quite different amounts of time in the microwave.
