Vegan Falafel
Vegan Falafel is a very nutritious and delicious dish. It is their perfect dish for vegans as it has all the plant-based alternatives. This recipe has the best combination of chickpeas, spices, and herbs that are mixed and turned into patties and then go for frying. You can then serve this tasty falafel with different sauteed veggies or with the bread as well.
Ingredients:
- Oil for frying
- Baking powder 1/2 tsp.
- Pepper 1/2 tsp.
- Salt 1.5 tsp.
- Minced garlic 4 cloves
- Gluten-free flour 2 tbsp.
- 10 mint leaves
- One lemon zest
- Coriander 1 cup
- Ground coriander 1/2 tsp.
- Onion 1 diced
- Dried chickpeas 1 cup
- Ground cumin 1 tsp.
Instructions:
- Add the chickpeas into the blender and then pulse it for a few minutes.
- Now add all of the remaining ingredients of falafel and then blend them until it makes a smooth paste.
- If the paste becomes too dry then you can add 1 tsp of water to it so then it will become a smooth paste.
- By using a tablespoon, take out the mixture equally and then move them into the balls.
- You can also press the balls so that they will be patties.
- Take a medium pan and then add oil to it and then heat it.
- Add the patty into the pan and then fry it until a light brown color appears.
- Moreover, You can add as many balls as you can easily fry into the pan.
- You can now serve it with sauces and bread also.
Notes:
- You should use the dried chickpeas by soaking them the whole night.
- This mixture can make almost 15 to 18 balls altogether.
