Vegan French Onion Soup

Vegan French onion soup is a flavorful recipe. Furthermore, the chunky onion broth is the star of this nutritious take on French onion soup. Additonally, cook in a thick broth with delicious caramelized onions, this soup is cooked in a slow cooker. Moreover, the French onion soup is very yummy and well-balanced in spices.

 

Vegan French Onion Soup

Instructions:

  • Balsamic vinegar: 1 tablespoon.
  • Yellow onion: 5.
  • Butter: 2 tbsp.
  • Apple juice: 1 cup.
  • Vegetable stock: 4 cups.

Instructions:

  1. Melt the petroleum jelly and set the slow cooker to sear.
  2. Add the onion slices, stir with salt, and cook until the onions begin to brown and become crispy approximately 30 minutes.
  3. After the onions become tender and caramelized, combine all the other supplies, set the slow cooker to high heat, and let it stew for four to six hours.
  4. Before serving, add some fresh thyme to the soup.

For instant pot:

  1. Set the setting for the instant pot to sauté, add the onions and salt, and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the onions start to caramelize and turn golden.
  2. Add all the additional ingredients to the onions after they are tender and caramelizing.
  3. After two hours of cooking at excessive pressure, swiftly remove the valve.

Notes:

Using this quick method, caramelizing time is potentially reduced in half. Moreover, just caramelize the onions over high heat for between twenty and twenty-five minutes, stirring often and adding a quarter of a cup water or broth as needed every couple of minutes to keep the onions from sticking to the bottom.

Storage information:

Soup overs keep well in a cooler for five to six days. Furthermore, you may keep French onion soup for up to two or three months in the freezer without the inclusion of bread and cream.

How to reheat this soup?

Just warm in a pan on the normal heat on the hob till thoroughly warmed. As an alternative, reheat in a microwave for a few minutes, turning after a minute or two, till through.
