Vegan Mushrooms Gumbo

The Vegan Mushrooms Gumbo is a tasty meal. Furthermore, the combination of the herbs with rice makes the taste of the recipe more delightful. Furthermore, the deliciously filling is full of flavor with a thick vegan stock and an of vegetables. It is a good and savory comfort meal, and it is based on plants.

Vegan Mushroom Gumbo

Ingredients:

  • Green bell pepper: 2.
  • Vegetable stock: 2 cups.
  • All-purpose flour: 2/3 cup.
  • Onion: 1.
  • Head of cauliflower: 1.
  • Cajun seasoning: 1 tbsp.
  • Kidney beans: 15 oz.
  • Liquid smoke: 1/2 tsp.
  • Cremini mushrroms: 5 cups.
  • Chopped tomato: 14 oz.
  • Pepper.
  • Crished garlic: 1 tbsp.
  • Vegan butter: 1/2 cup.
  • Frozen vegetable: 1 cup.
  • Celery stalks: 2.
For serving:
  • Rice.
  • Onion.

Instructions:

  1. Put the vegan butter in a saucepan with a heavy bottom and heat it to medium.
  2. Stir the flour with other ingredients into the mixture to form a paste.
  3. Stirring continuously, you should see the roux transform from a thick paste to a thin sauce after about twenty minutes on normal heat.
  4. The color will also gradually change after it reaches a milk chocolate color; that is an indication that the roux has concluded.
  5. An excellent pot with a bottom is perfectly fine, particularly if you go with the high heat, quick approach.
  6. It’s best to proceed cautiously if you’re worried that something could burn in your pot.
  7. Regretfully, once burned, the roux cannot be recovered and must be rebuilt.
  8. Add the onion, carrots, and green bell pepper when your roux reaches the milk chocolate level.
  9. Stir into your roux, allowing the vegetables to soften when you heat them.
  10. Serve it.
Notes:
  • Although vegan butter is advisable, use the vegetable oil in it with vegan oil.
  • One cup of fresh, or use  it for the mixed frozen vegetables if you can find any.
  • Another name for mushroom cremini is portobellini, or baby bella. These are simply used with white button mushrooms.
