INGREDIENTS:

  • Baking powder, one teaspoon.
  • One-fourth teaspoon of baking powder.
  • Pinch of salt.1/3 cup sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • half a tablespoon of cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup plant milk (almond, soy, or oatmeal)
  • 1/4 cup unscented apple sauce.
  • One cup all-purpose flour.
  • Add one teaspoon of juice from a lemon/apple cider vinegar.
  • One tablespoon of vanilla essence.
  • 1 tablespoon oil (canola, avocado, or melted coconut)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries, fresh/frozen. For glazing (optional):
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar.
  • One to two tablespoons of plant milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence.

INGREDIENT NOTES

Flour:

  • White whole wheat flour /All-purpose. You can use 1:1 gluten-free mix to make it gluten-free .

Sugar:

  • Any sugar normal or even coconut will be good. Add sweetness to taste.

Baking powder:

  • So that Donuts rise and become airy and fluff, baking powder is added.

Applesauce:

  • It is so watery and replaces eggs. The best is unsweetened.

Plant milk:

  • Which ever one. It is fine to take almond or soy or oat or coconut milk.

Vinegar:

  • It makes the batter rise in interaction with baking soda. Lemon or lime juice may be used fresh as well.

Oil:

  • Provides enrichment. Mix in some neutral oil or melted coconut oil.

Blueberries:

  • Fresh to consume with less bleeding, frozen no. Thaw is unnecessary.

Glaze:

  • Glaze Sweetness and shine may be omitted. You can jump or casually shower.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Set the oven temperature to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Use nonstick spray or lightly butter a donut pan.
  3. In a large mixing basin, mix all of the ingredients.
  4. Mix the plant milk, applesauce, vinegar, vanilla, & oil in another bowl.
  5. Pour wet components into the dry. Stir gently till mixed. Don’t overmix.
  6. Fold the blueberries gently into the mixture. Pour or pour the batter into the donut baking pan. Fill each mold three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, till A toothpick pierces through it cleanly, and it’s brown.
  8. After five minutes of cooling in the pan. then put it in a pan.
  9. In a small dish, add the glaze ingredients and stir till smooth.
  10. Drizzle glaze on cooled donuts, and dip the tops.

TIPS:

  • Use the finest recent blueberries for better results.
  • Don’t overmix or the donuts are going to be too dense.
  • In case of frozen blueberries, sprinkle lightly with a bit of flour to avoid sinking.
  • Use a zip lock bag to fill out donut pan cleanly.
  • Allow air to cool completely before glazing donuts.
  • Omit the glaze if you want a lower sugar alternative.
  • To add some zest, simulate lemon zest over the batter.
  • Save the leftover glaze in the fridge and warm it up gently.
