TIPS:
- You may go for the mixing of fresh parsley/mint in the dough for a flavor twist.
- You can even bake it, but you must use the sheet of parchment; otherwise, your naan will stick to the baking dish/tray.
- Give the proper time to the naan for rising to have a fluffy & airy naan.
- It will be best when you serve it warm.
- If you want the crispy naan, then roll it thin; otherwise, roll it thick to have a soft, gooey naan.
HOW TO PRESERVE(LEFTOVERS):
CHILLING:
- Save the naan(leftover) when it cools down to the surrounding temperature in a box with a lid(sealed). Refrigerate for ~four days. Consume it in the given time. Cover the naan in a damp towel while reheating it.
FREEZING:
- Pack each naan individually in the paper of parchment & keep them all in the bag(freezer-safe and zip-lock). Freeze the naans for ~sixty days. Defrost & reheat on a hot skillet till warmed up throughout.
FAQs:
Is it possible to bake the naans as well?
- Yes! Warm the oven(empty) at 230 °C & bake the naan in a baking dish(parchment-lined) for ~eight mins or till you observe the light golden top. Apply a layer of garlic butter using the brush as soon as you dish the naan out.
What happens if I go for the gluten-free naan?
- You may use the gluten-free flour along with xanthan gum to make the gluten-free naan. These naans will be fragile to handle.
May I go spicy with these naans?
- The authentic version of these naans is not spicy. If you prefer the spicy version, go for the addition of green chillies/red flakes of chilli.
