INGREDIENT NOTES
APPLESAUCE

COCOA POWDER
- The addition of unsweetened cocoa powder will give the chocolate a deep, chocolaty flavor that would be loved by chocolate fans.
CHOCOLATE CHIPS
- To make the recipe vegan, look for chocolate chips that are free of milk.
VEGAN FLOUR
- We are using regular flour in this instance to provide the brownies’ structure. You may also go for the gluten-free flour or oat flour, whichever you want.
PEANUT BUTTER
- Using creamy and unsweetened peanut butter adds the silky richness to your brownies and would be loved by the PB lovers. You may use the almond or cashew butter for the twist in flavor, or sunflower seed butter if you have to avoid the nuts.
BAKING POWDER
- The little addition of baking powder will cause your brownies to rise well. You may use a mix of a quarter tsp. of baking soda with half a tsp. of vinegar as a replacement.
COCONUT OIL
- It aids in binding our brownies and adds moisture. You may also use olive oil or avocado oil if coconut oil is not available.
MAPLE SYRUP AND COCONUT SUGAR
- These are the pure plant-based natural sugars that sweeten the brownies naturally. Swap them with the date syrup or agave nectar.
