EQUIPMENT:

  • Small dish
  • Matcha whisk
  • Small nonstick pot
  • Mugs (to serve the latte)

INGREDIENTS:

  • Matcha powder 1 tsp
  • One-fourth cup of warm water
  • Oat milk 1 cup
  • Dried lavender buds half a tsp
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of sweetener

INGREDIENT NOTES:

Lavender:

  • I prefer to use the Eat Well brand dried lavender. You can use other brands of lavender, but be sure to choose a savory lavender brand.

Matcha powder:

  • It is made from green tea powder. The suitable brand to purchase this powder is Matcha Organic. For baking, this powder is ideal because it is slightly less expensive and has moderate quality.

Sweetener:

  • Choose any vegan-friendly sweetener that quickly dissolves in plant-based milk.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add the matcha powder to a small dish.
  2. Pour lukewarm over it and stir instantly to prevent lumps.
  3. We will mix the matcha powder and water with a matcha whisk.
  4. Stir rapidly in an M or W rhythm for thirty to sixty minutes or until the mixture is nicely blended.
  5. After that, put aside the dish.
  6. Next, add sweetener, lavender buds, and oat milk to a small nonstick pot.
  7. Mix well and heat over medium heat.
  8. Warm the milk to a sizzling simmering point rather than boiling.
  9. Simmer it for five to nine minutes until the flavors of lavender dissolve into the milk.
  10. Now, extract the lavender bus with a strainer.
  11. Next, fill the serving mug with the matcha frosting and hot oat milk.
  12. Before serving, taste the latte and adjust items (if needed).
  13. The tasty Lavender Matcha Latte is ready.

VARIATIONS:

Vanilla lavender matcha latte:

  • Mix half a teaspoon of vanilla extract into the hot oat milk. You can use vegan-friendly vanilla syrup instead of extract.

Creamy latte:

  • Replace the oat milk with coconut milk.

Iced lavender matcha latte:

  • Before serving, we will chill the lavender milk in the fridge. After that, mix the chilled milk and matcha mixture. Pour over a few cubes of ice to make it more chilled. Enjoy.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

  • Serve the latte with energy and high-protein quinoa balls.
  • Pair it with freshly baked vegan muffins, such as blueberry or banana.
  • Enjoy the latte with a crumbly lavender shortbread cookie.
  • Serve it with a bowl of chia seeds pudding.
  • Sweet and tangy lavender lemon bars also go well with this latte.

TIPS:

  • Use high-quality matcha powder to ensure great flavors.
  • Opt for a sweetener like coconut sugar, maple syrup, or date syrup.
  • Preferable to use dried lavender instead of fresh ones.
  • Warm the oat milk at moderate burner heat.
  • You can adjust the flavor of lavender to your taste.

STORAGE INFORMATION:

Fridge:

  • Store the leftover latte in a sealed jug and refrigerate it for nine to fourteen days.

Freezer:

  • I wouldn’t prefer to freeze this beverage for a long time.
