Ingredient Notes
Soy Curls:
- The dried stripes of mashed soybeans make soy curls give a similar chicken flavor and texture.
Vegetable Broth:
- I used low-sodium vegetable broth to prepare this dish.
Lime and Orange Juice:
- The orange adds a touch of sweetness, and the lime adds citrus. I prefer to use both, you are free to use just one.
Chipotles in Adobo:
- This item gives a tangy, sweet, and spicy flavor. You can replace it with smoked paprika.
Diced Jalapenos:
- We extract its seeds and ribs. Then, add it to the dish.
Mexican Oregano:
- Italian and Mexican Oregano are different from each other. It has a slightly distinct flavor from Italian Oregano.
White Vinegar:
- This vinegar is a common ingredient used for marination. You might use apple cider vinegar.
