- I suggest using your preferred whole grain, gluten-free, or white bread pieces. I used white bread from Texas.
Tofu:
- We used good-quality and firm tofu. Remember, squeeze tofu before adding to the French toast batter to prevent extra moisture.
Dairy-free milk:
- Use only plant-based milk such as almond, soy, and hemp milk.
Granulated Sugar:
- It is used to prepare the cinnamon sugar coating mixture.
Ground Cinnamon:
- This item provides a warm feeling. You can replace this spicy with other ingredients, such as nutmeg, pumpkin spice, cardamom, or vanilla extract.
Vanilla Extract:
- Used to add flavor.
Flax Seeds:
- It is used as an alternative to eggs.
Vegan Butter:
- Use it for frying purposes.
Instructions:
Preparation of Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
- Take a blender. Add ground cinnamon and granulated sugar to the blender.
- Blend it until it combines well.
- Preserve this mixture.

On the Griddle:
- Cut bread loaves into delicate and tiny slices with a sharp knife.
- Add all ingredients like maple syrup, non-dairy milk, flax seeds, cinnamon, tofu, and vanilla extract in a blender.
- Blend all ingredients until it give a smooth texture.
- Shift this mixture into a large bowl.
- Now, dip bread sticks into this mixture for 20-30 seconds.
- Meanwhile, add vegan butter to a nonstick pan. Melt butter over medium flame.
- Next, add coated breadsticks to the pan.
- To make it crispy and tender, cook each side for 3-4 minutes.
- The French toast is ready to eat. Place it in a plate.
- Drizzle some maple sugar and serve.

- Slice bread loaves with a sharp knife into thin pieces.
- Add all ingredients like non-dairy milk, tofu, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and flax seeds in a blender.
- Combine all ingredients until it give a smooth texture.
- Transfer this batter to a large bowl.
- Now, soak each breadsticks into this mixture for 20-30 seconds.
- After that, transfer these sticks into an air fryer.
- Place all sticks in a sequence-wise.
- Cook it for 5-6 minutes or until brown.
- The tasty and crispy French sticks are ready.
Baked in the Oven:
- For baking, We will set the oven temperature at 375 degrees.
- Cut bread loaves into thin strips by using a sharp knife.
- Blend all ingredients, including non-dairy milk, maple syrup, flax seeds, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and tofu.
- Combine all ingredients until it give a smooth texture.
- Shift this mixture into a large bowl.
- Now, coat each breadstick with this mixture for 20-30 seconds.
- Meanwhile, add vegan butter to the baking tray. Spread the butter with a cooking brush.
- Next, place coated bread sticks on the baking tray.
- Bake the toast for 3 to 4 minutes or until the sides of the bread are crispy and brown.
