Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza Recipe:

Ingredients: For the Cauliflower Crust:

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 flax egg (1 tablespoon ground flaxseed mixed with 3 tablespoons water)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Buffalo Cauliflower Topping:
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets, bite-sized
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
For Assembly:
  • 1/2 cup vegan mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
For Vegan Ranch Drizzle:
  • 1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cauliflower Crust: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the cauliflower florets in a food processor and pulse until finely crumbled. Transfer the crumbled cauliflower to a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible. In a mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower, flax egg, almond flour, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a dough.
  2. Shape and Bake the Crust: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Press the cauliflower dough onto the baking sheet to form a circular pizza crust, about 1/4 inch thick. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and firm.
  3. Prepare the Buffalo Cauliflower: In a bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with hot sauce, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread the coated cauliflower on a separate baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and slightly crispy.
  4. Make the Vegan Ranch Drizzle: In a small bowl, whisk together the vegan mayonnaise, almond milk, apple cider vinegar, dried dill, dried parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Adjust the consistency with more milk if needed.
  5. Assemble the Pizza: Once the cauliflower crust is baked, spread a thin layer of vegan ranch drizzle over the crust. Sprinkle vegan mozzarella cheese over the ranch layer. Next, spread the cooked buffalo cauliflower evenly over the cheese. Top with sliced red onion and bell pepper.
  6. Final Bake: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh cilantro over the top. Slice and serve your Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Pizza while it’s still warm.
