  • Half tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Half tsp oregano (dry)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

INGREDIENT NOTES:

CAULIFLOWER:

  • This is the core ingredient that we will be using for the steaks. Its shape does not change when it cooks, which makes it a good option for a steak recipe. After cooking the cauliflower, it will become soft. For an alternative, use broccoli to make the steaks.

OLIVE OIL:

  • Olive oil is what we use for cooking the cauliflower. It can provide moisture and crunchiness to the steak. Melt some vegan butter and use that as an alternative.

GARLIC POWDER:

  • Adding garlic powder will provide a nice taste to the overall steak. Onion powder is an alternative idea.

PAPRIKA:

  • Paprika can add a nice color to the steak and also give a light heat. Chili powder will also work the same way.

SALT & BLACK PEPPER:

  • Salt is helpful in making the overall taste of the steak better, whereas the pepper will include heat. Light soy sauce and white pepper are options for alternatives to both ingredients.

DRIED OREGANO:

  • These include a light, earthy taste in the steak. An alternative can be thyme.

LEMON JUICE:

  • This can easily improve the freshness of the steak.  Apple cider vinegar will also work fine for this ingredient.
