INGREDIENTS:

  • One cup vegan butter
  • One cup of brown sugar
  • One tsp. vanilla extract
  • Salt a pinch
  • 1 sleeve vegan crackers
  • 2 cups vegan dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons crushed nuts or seeds

VEGAN BUTTER:

BROWN SUGAR:

VEGAN DARK CHOCOLATE:

  • Vegan dark chocolate chips melt uniformly and remain smooth with the hot toffee. The chocolate chips should contain a minimum of 60% cocoa to provide a strong chocolate taste.

VEGAN CRACKERS:

  • Choose the vegan crackers to prepare this toffee bark. Use the matzo, or saltine crackers, for this purpose. The light salt content of these crackers helps to balance the sweet topping.

NUTS OR SEEDS:

  • Use the nuts or seeds in crushed form to provide a slight texture. Use different varieties like peanuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, or sunflower seeds. It provides the healthy fat content in them, and the bark looks more decorative.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Put the parchment on the baking tray.
  2. Place the crackers in one layer in the baking tray.

  9. Bake the toffee for ten minutes at 350 degrees F.
  10. Take out the tray and sprinkle chocolate chips on the hot coffee.
  11. Melt them for two minutes and sprinkle some seeds or nuts on them.
  12. Cool for some time on the counter, than chill for 1 hour.
  13. Make the pieces and serve.
