Vegan Crispy Sesame Tempeh Bowl

Ingredients:

Tempeh:
  • Cubed tempeh 8 oz.
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil 2 tbsp.
  • Soy sauce 1 tbsp.
Sesame sauce:
  • Sesame seeds 2 tbsp.
  • Sriracha 4 tbsp.
  • Sesame oil 1 tsp.
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Ginger minced 1 tsp.
  • Maple syrup 1 tbsp.
  • Garlic minced 1 tsp.
  • Rice wine vinegar 1 tbsp.
  • Water 2 tbsp.
  • Soy sauce 2 tbsp.
Bowl ingredients: (optional)
  • Veggies 4 cups (any)
  • Rice 1 1/2 cup cooked

Instructions:

  1. Cook the rice properly if it is not cooked and then set aside.
Simmer:
  1. Cut the tempeh equally into cubes and then place it in a small bowl.
  2. Add the water to cover and then add salt and then the soy sauce.
  3. Boil it and then and then simmer it for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Make the sesame sauce by combining all the components in the bowl.
  5. Once it has been simmered, steam the veggies in a pot and then add tempeh to it.
  6. Combine it and then steam for almost 4 minutes and then leave it for later use.
  7. Take a large pan and then heat the olive oil into it and then season it with salt and pepper.
  8. Add in the tempeh and then fry it until golden brown.
  9. Mix in the sauce in it and then turn off the heat.
Assemble:
  • Put the rice into two bowls and then put the steamed veggies over it.
  • Add the tempeh and then sprinkle soy sauce over it.
