Vegan Chickpeas Nuggets

Ingredients

  • Canned Chickpeas 15ounces
  • Chickpeas Water 1 1/2cup
  • Chickpea Flour 1/4cup
  • Nutritional Yeast 2tbsp
  • Salt 1tsp
  • Garlic Powder 1/2tsp
  • Onion Powder 1/2tsp
  • Paprika Powder 1/2tsp
  • Chili Powder 1/2tsp
  • Bread Crumbs 1/2cup
  • Olive oil 1tbsp

Ingredient Notes

Chickpeas: Use store-bought canned, or homemade cooked chickpeas.
Chickpea Flour: It helps to bind the flour and chickpea mixture together.
Breadcrumbs: You can use panko breadcrumbs. It gives the nuggets a crunchy feel.

Instructions

Preparation Of Nuggets

  1. Take a food blender. Add all ingredients like canned chickpeas, flour, nutritional yeast, garlic
  2. powder, paprika powder, chickpea water, salt, onion powder, and chili powder to this blender.
  3. Mix well all ingredients. Set aside this chickpea mixture.
  4. Next, add chickpea flour, salt, and water to another mixing bowl.
  5. Stir it until the flour combines well with water. Keep aside this bowl.
  6. Now, take a plate and add breadcrumbs to this plate.
  7. Take the chickpea mixture, and form a small ball with the help of a palm.
  8. Make 10-15 chickpeas nuggets or to your choice.
  9. Dip each nugget in the flour mixture. Next, dust it with breadcrumbs.
  10. Use the same instructions to make the remaining nuggets.
  11. Shift all coated nuggets to a plate.
  12. You can prepare it in two methods.

Oven

First, adjust the oven temperature to 425 degrees.
Meanwhile, place the parchment paper on the baking tray and coat it with olive oil.
Transfer all prepared coated nuggets to this tray.
For 20-30 minutes, bake the chickpea nuggets or until it’s outside crunchy.
After baking, turn off the oven. Serve the tasty nuggets with dip, or ketchup.

Air fryer

  1. Take an air fryer, and shift the prepared nuggets to this air fryer.
  2. Place all nuggets in a line-wise sequence so all cook well.
  3. At 400 degrees, set the air fryer temperature.
  4. Air fry the nuggets for 10-12 minutes until it is crispy and brown.
