GARLIC:

  • It provides a deep flavor. Also, the scent of the mushrooms becomes nice. Using fresh garlic is the better option. If it is not there for you to use, use garlic powder.

SOY SAUCE:

  • When we add it to the glaze, it gives it a color. It also gives a salty taste to the mushrooms. Coconut aminos is a substitute option.

MAPLE SYRUP:

  • This helps in making the glaze stick to the mushrooms. It also provides sweetness. Use date syrup as a substitute.

RICE VINEGAR:

  • Rice vinegar gives freshness to the mushrooms. It helps in balancing the sweet and salty taste. Lemon juice is also an option to use.

CORNSTARCH:

  • We use cornstarch to make the glaze thick. It also sticks the glaze to the mushrooms. Potato starch is a substitute option.

BLACK PEPPER:

  • Adding black pepper improves the flavor of the mushrooms. Chili flakes or white pepper are substitutes.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. First, you will need to clean the mushrooms.
  2. Cut them into equal slices.
  3. Take the skillet.
  4. Put olive oil in it.
  5. Place it above a medium flame.
  6. Cook the mushrooms in it for 8 minutes.
  7. Include garlic as well.
  8. Cook for another minute.
  9. Take a bowl.
  10. Add water, cornstarch, vinegar, maple syrup, and soy sauce.
  11. Mix them thoroughly.
  12. Transfer this mixture to the skillet.
  13. Constantly mix for 3 minutes.
  14. Make it glossy.
  15. Add black pepper.
  16. If you want, add some sesame seeds and green onions.
