INGREDIENT NOTES:
SWEET POTATOES:
- Sweet potatoes act as the base of your dish and get soft after we roast them. You may use pumpkin slices as another idea.
BEETS:
- Beets provide earthy sweetness and improve the color of your recipe. They include antioxidants & fiber in your snack. We may utilize roasted carrots or roasted squash, as per your choice.
VEGAN HALLOUMI:
- This gives protein and a firm texture to your recipe. It gets golden and a little crispy after pan-frying. You may use firm tofu as an alternative.
WALNUTS:
- Walnuts provide creaminess and healthy fats to your snack. Utilize cashews or almonds as another choice.
BASIL:
- Fresh basil is the main taste in your pesto, and it makes your sauce aromatic. It maintains the earthy sage and walnuts in your recipe. We may replace it with spinach for a milder taste or parsley for a less sweet taste, as per your preference.
SAGE:
- Sage provides depth and warmth to your pesto and pairs well with walnuts & sweet potatoes. We may use thyme as another idea for your snack.
OLIVE OIL:
- It helps to blend pesto and roasted vegetables smoothly in your recipe. Also, it provides smoothness & richness to your snack. Replace it with avocado oil as per your choice.
