  5. Set aside the baking dish. Meanwhile, we will prepare the syrup.
  6. Place a nonstick pan to a moderate flame.
  7. Next, add orange zest, ginger, sugar, and butter to this pan.
  8. Cook it until the sugar is mixed well.
  9. After that, mix cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and maple syrup with a sugar mixture.
  10. Simmer it for a couple of minutes until the syrup consistency is dense.
  11. Now, spread this sugar syrup equally over the sliced potatoes.
  12. Secure the baking dish with aluminum foil paper or baking paper.
  13. Bake it for forty minutes. After forty minutes, take off the foil.
  14. Pour some sugar syrup over it, and bake it uncovered for twenty minutes.
