INGREDIENT NOTES:
ACTIVE DRY YEAST:
- Yeast helps our dough to rise and make it softer. It also makes air bubbles in the dough. If you don’t prefer dry yeast, you can use instant yeast instead.
WARM WATER:
- We need mild, warm water to activate the yeast used. The water temperature shouldn’t be very warm nor too cold. Also, you can use warm vegan milk as an alternative.
SUGAR:
- It helps the yeast grow, and you can use maple syrup instead.
ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR:
- We use it to give a structure to the dough. If you don’t prefer it, you can reduce the quantity.
SALT:
- Salt helps to balance the dough and add flavor. You can also reduce it as per your taste.
OLIVE OIL:
- It helps to make the dough soft & moist. You can use any other neutral oil as an alternative.
VEGAN MILK:
- When you bake the dough, it gives a golden color to the breadsticks’ braids. Olive oil can also be another choice instead of vegan milk.

- Combine sugar, yeast, and warm water in a bowl and leave it for 5-10 minutes till it gets foamy.
- Next, add salt, olive oil, and flour, and combine till you make a dough.

- In an oily bowl, add the dough & rest for sixty minutes.
