- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave nectar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine the lukewarm water and maple syrup or agave nectar. Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt. Create a well in the center of the flour mixture.
